Story and Lyrics by Mark Mangold

The Second Coming

1.  Aryon Overture
by Mark Mangold

Aryon            Oh Aryon

2.  Stained (Gone)
by Terry Brock, Randy Jackson and Mark Mangold

As the light shined through the Stained glass window
of the small church not far from here
Her soul and her innocence were ripped away
By a demon in black and white veneer
And in that wretched moment she told herself it was love
Not a power perverted to control her in the name of the sacred dove
Gone     She was gone

She could not cast it out of her mind
As it happened over and over again
She loathed the smell of the incense and the beer and the sex and cigarettes and Sunday Mass and the
smell of his breath
And in that wretched moment she told herself it was love
not a power perverted to control her in the name of the sacred dove
Gone    gone    she was gone
She could never go home
Had to face it alone
Gone, she was gone

(And one hot night after God had gone
She had to see it end    one way or another
And she heard the vile, everlasting gasp of the man some called “father”
and some called “brother”)

Never to savor the life that she made
Ever to bury the truth of the one who betrayed
How could she rescue the seed of her faith
And the father     oh father
A life has been Stained
Gone   She was gone
Aryon  you are gone
Gone    She Was Gone

3.  The Morning After (Time to Run)
By Randy Jackson and Mark Mangold

She wakes in the morning     shivers out of bed
She tries to silence all the thoughts inside her head
She takes    She breaks (down) closer to the light    is all that she wanted to be
She Holds On      Says goodbye to all that she wanted to be

She looks in the mirror, out of body out of mind
Follows the traces   she was hoping not to find
She takes    She breaks   closer to the light   was all that she wanted to be
She Holds On      Say Goodbye to all that you wanted to be
Never will be all that she wanted to be
Yeh   All that she wanted to be

Oh Aryon, that was not some desperate illusion
It will not go away
You break into a cold, cold sweat
It is your reality
There’s a time to face it all and a time to dissappear
Into the void  your new life has begun
Girl it is your time to run
Time to run

She takes     She breaks    closer to the light    Is all that she wanted to be
She shakes    Still holds on  to     All that she wants to believe
Time to run       Say goodbye to all that you wanted to be
She just wants to be free

Aryon Hooks Up.

4.  Motorcycle Messiah
By Al Fritsch, Mark Mangold and Terry Brock

He rides like the wind    so his spirit will be free
Revs his engines.... (like) thunder
Exploding into space
No power that can hold him  where he does not want to be
No one can control him
No faith that he’ll believe
He could be right behind you     that sound in the night
The only thing he cherishes     Is his bible and his bike

Motorcycle Messiah
The speed will take him higher
Messiah    Come to take you away

They say that he’s a rebel    not like you and me
His mama was a hooker     His father was a thief
Now she rides to escape    she rides to believe
She rides to touch the heavens on a tank of gasoline
They could be right beside you     that thunder in the night
The only thing he cares about    his bible and his bike

(He’s the) Motorcycle Messiah
His speed will take her higher
Messiah

(At the speed of light he rides to oblivion   No direction home
Ride On  Motorcycle Messiah)

Motorcycle Messiah    His speed will take him higher
Messiah

Though exciting, Aryon realizes the motorcyle life is not her answer.
Aryon asks for guidance...

5.  Shine
By Terry Brock, Randy Jackson and Mark Mangold

Shine  down upon me
Shine,  let it shine
‘Cause I walk this lonely road   but I can carry this heavy load
If I let it shine
My journey’s just begun, gonna follow that rising sun
So let it shine

Let it shine down upon me
Shine, all over me
I walk this lonely road   I can carry this heavy load
If I let it shine
My journey’s just begun    gonna follow that rising sun
So let it Shine      Shine
Gonna make me stronger if I can take it any longer
“Let your light shine on me”

She travels to the Red Rock Canyons of Arizona in search of...

6.  Bliss
By Mark Mangold

7.  If For One Moment                 (Aryon Sings)
By Mark Mangold

There’s a whole world out there
Sure looks different than Atlanta GA
Livin’ on a song and a prayer
Got nowhere to run and nowhere to stay
If I could fly    If I could shine
If for one moment  I could understand why
If I could change it or just turn back time, wash the blood from my hands
But I have no more tears   no more tears left to cry

(I’m) Not a child anymore
Give me a vision to face the world at my door
I looked to heaven before
But my faith is shaken and I don’t know anymore

If I could fly    If I could shine
If for one moment  I could understand why
If I could change it or just turn back time, wash the blood from my hands
But I have no more tears     No more tears left to cry

Aryon meets and lives with “The Tribe”.

8.   Canyon (We Are One Tribe)
By Mark Mangold

As I stand upon this mountain     I know I have     All that’s inside of me
All that has made me...the one I am
I will find the message     in this all
Destiny closes a door and another one opens that you never saw before
Oh no, so high     How I wish I could fly
(We are one tribe)

9.   Flame of the Oracle            (To the Shaman of The Tribe)
By Mark Mangold

As I taste the bitter drought of your vision giving brew
I can feel my body lifting to this place I never knew
Behold the second coming of the wisdom child
Welcome   welcome up from the ashes
Untamed and wild

It’s the Flame of the Oracle

Dimensions are transposing as I search for what is truth
As the angels weep in heaven, the hounds of hell break loose
As the veil falls, the torch is in our hands
To stand against this evil and live the master plan

+  Some scars never fade    Some scars never fade    Some scars never fade
They just make you stronger    They just make you stronger

Shoulder to Shoulder        We will carry the Flame
Onwards and forward    We will proclaim
This Psychedelic Symphony  The Flame of the Oracle
The Flame Yeh
Feel the Fire

And as the Godhead guides us
We will read the mystic scrolls
These lyrics that may heal us
As bells of Tara toll
And thru the mist we see her
The light the future holds
The veil is slowly lifting
To reveal this mighty (kick ass) rock and roll
I can see   The Flame Of The Oracle

Some scars never fade   They just make you stronger

Aryon must keep moving and leaves The Tribe.  She has realized psychedelics are not her answer.  She
moves in with a guy she met at a bar...The Locker Inn.

10.  The Ooze
By Terry Brock, Randy Jackson and Mark Mangold

He slinks around like a blob of ooze
Comes into your house and goes straight to the booze
Doesn’t listen to a word you say
Smokes his cigarettes, blows the smoke in your face
He’s hyper,   a parasite sniper
Yeh   he’s got a problem    that he wants everyone to know
You can say
He’s Ooze   yeh
Just ooze   he’s refuse
(He moves   like ooze)

He’s got a problem   asking for favors
But if you expect some pay back   there’s disturbing behaviour
He loves to talk about suicide for attention
And then he borrows your car
It’s impossible to get him  out of your life
He’ll throw a tantrum   or threaten your life
He loves the drama   the trauma    tortures his mama
And she wishes he would just take his meds and be calmer, yeh

He’s Ooze   yeh
Just ooze
He moves   and slinks around like ooze

Been there, done that...Aryon splits.

11.  Inner Child (Exorcise)
(Reprise of Bliss) By Mark Mangold

(End of  Sadness...no more regrets)

12.   Black Mountain        (Aryon’s Vision Quest)
By Al Fritsch and Mark Mangold

The morning mist it speaks to me in voices that I hear inside my mind
My valley it enfolds me as above I see my mountain kiss the sky
Takin’ my time   takin’ my time    Makin’ me high
Losin’ my mind   feelin’ sublime   I listen to my
Black Mountain     You are mine

I’ve been down to the city and I’ve seen the twisted emptiness...
This gentle rain that showers me
Reveals my soul   the answers I possess
Takin’ my time     takin’ my time    wondering why
Open my mind    feelin’ sublime    Listenin’ to my
Black Mountain   You are my
Black Mountain   You are mine

Mountain will share my vision    free my mind receive my wisdom
Nature cries on my Black Mountainside    Live and die (on my Black Mountain)
Wonder why   (on my Black Mountain)    Free my mind on my Black Mountain
Live and die       Wonder why      Nature Cries
Black Mountain    You are mine
Free my mind on Black Mountain
Listenin’ to my Black Mountain

13.  Just Keep on Breathin’              (The Epiphany...a Message)
By Terry Brock, Randy Jackson and Mark Mangold

Over and over   I re lived the day
Feeling it’s hold on me    hiding the pain
Till it released me   Sacred I turned
Agony, rapture   It took this to learn
+  I am the savior     sanctify me

+  Just keep on breathin’    Follow the light at the end of the road
Just keep on breathin’     Move to the light at the end of the road
Just keep on breathin’

All is forgiven    My beast is at bay
The answer’s so simple    and sounds so cliche’
+  Love is the answer   we’ve heard it before
No truer words    say anything more
I am (you are) the savior    sanctify me

Just keep on breathin’    Follow the light at the end of the road
Just keep on breathin’     Move to the light at the end of the road
Just Keep on breathin’

When the earth beneath you shakes and there’s just no more you can take
When the world inside you falls and you think you’ve lost it all

Just keep on breathin’    Follow the light to the end of the road
Just keep on breathin’     Move to the light at the end of the road
Just keep on breathin’

14.  Shine (Finale)
By Terry Brock, Randy Jackson and Mark Mangold
Shine Upon Me
Shine Let It Shine
Shine down on me   Sign, let it shine
I can feel it
It makes me stronger everytime

Shine...
Gonna follow the risin’ sun
The Journey is over
Makes me stronger...everytime
Like being born again...a second coming.

Aryon Overture Reprise
By Mark Mangold
Aryon

Shine Delta
By Terry Brock, Randy Jackson and Mark Mangold

Makin’ me stronger    So just let it shine
No more carryin’ the heavy load
Shine the light now
All is forgiven    Come on Down
Some scars never fade
Put down the heavy load and shine, girl
You climbed the mountain
The way you faced it all...
You have your masters
But all is forgiven..
Your comin’ home    It’s just begun
The journey’s over...and it’s just begun
So just let it shine
You’re stronger baby, stronger darlin’
Came out the other side
So just let it shine....shine your light, girl
Oh Aryon, let it shine

15.  Trans Americana Symphony
by Mark Mangold

16.  Rapture  (Ode to Aryon)
by Mark Mangold
17.  Bonus Track

Maniac     (Dedicated to the Godz Festival)
by Mark Mangold

Your searchin’ for another way
You’re lookin’ back to yesterday
Tryin’ to make this moment shine, again
There’s a dream that’s in you head
Feeling’s you just can’t forget
Locked away and left for dead
Kept inside and never said
So I’ll say them all for you
Forever, Forever

In your heart you’re a maniac  yeh
You play a part but you’d give anything to go back again
To a place    where the love and the music took you (us) higher
Well I know       I know a place   we can go
We’re just maniacs at heart

As you find the strength to face another day,
what’s that on the radio?
Whatever happened to the songs you crave?
That good ole’ rock and roll
All the melody is gone
Soundin’ like the same old song
All the voices in your head
You remember, can’t forget
And they’ll go on and on forever, forever

In your heart you’re a maniac  yeh
You play a part but you’d give anything to go back again
To a place   where the love and the music took you higher
Well I know       I know a place   we can go
To Be Maniacs At Heart

And your heart still gives you know quarter
And the lite still shines when the band plays “Faithfully”
And the tie still binds when misfortune bring you down

Cause In your heart you’re a maniac  yeh
You play a part but you’d give anything to go back again

In your heart you’re a maniac  yeh
You play a part but you’d give anything to go back again
To a place   where the love and the music took you/us higher
Well I know       I know of a place   we can go
To Be Maniacs At Heart
